Our Wedding

"I was tagging along with my friends, Lindsey and John, who were meeting up with some friends of John's at Taco Mama. One of the "friends" was Michael. John and Lindsey told me earlier that day that their "really amazing, single friend" Michael was coming to Birmingham from out of town and going to be at the dinner. I did not think anything of it but was excited to meet him. When Michael got to Taco Mama, John introduced us, and we immediately hit it off! We went to Otey's (our favorite bar in Birmingham), and talked until the lights came on. All of our friends had left hours before that. Michael offered to walk me home, and I let him. We sat on my porch and talked until 2am. After he left, I texted my friends that I had met my husband! The next day, Michael picked me up at 8am to go to my church with me. Michael asked to have lunch together, but I already had plans. Later that day, Michael showed up to my house with his sister's dog and a piece of homemade peanut butter pie to go for a walk with me before he left to go back to Mississippi. Two weeks later, Michael came back to Birmingham to take me on a "real date." Fast forward 2 years, and he is, in fact, going to be my husband! Praise God!" - Helen

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones so much, but the wedding is adults only unless specified on your invitation!

Will there be parking at the venue?

There will be parking at The Wynn House, the church, and the Big Eddy. Parking will be limited, so we recommend carpooling or Uber!

What is the dress code?

The attire for the welcome party is Cocktail, no tie required. The attire for the wedding is Black Tie.
